Welcome to the 63rd Annual Juried Exhibition of the Sumi-e Society of America, Inc.

This website presents the 63rd Annual Exhibition of the Sumi-e Society of America. As the Tenth Worldwide Internet Exhibition, this exhibition was also hosted live at Bee Cave Arts Foundation’s The Hive Gallery in Bee Cave, Texas throughout the month of April, 2026. The Society enables artists and art lovers from around the world to enjoy this Exhibition of the wonderful artwork by our talented members consisting of 80 paintings and 17 calligraphy pieces. The show consists of artwork selected from 138 entries by 68 artists by our talented judge Peihong Endris.

Our goal in using the Internet is to expose more people to this amazing art form and increase the awareness and appreciation of the art of Sumi-e in the United States and around the world. The Society is a non-profit educational organization established in 1963. By focusing on the different styles and techniques of East Asian art we can establish genuine friendship and understanding that will span our diverse backgrounds and bring us into community.

worked very hard to bring this exhibition to you both on the internet and also hosted a live exhibition at Bee Cave Arts Foundation’s The Hive Gallery in Bee Cave, Texas.  Additionally  3 days of lively Workshops, Welcome Event with Texas flair, Exhibition Reception, Annual Meeting with Election Results and introduction of the Board of Directors and Awards Banquet honoring 23 award winners were held for participating artists and friends.

Our many thanks go to the talented artists whose work is shown here, our amazing judge, Peihong Endris who was also the workshop Artist/Instructor along with Susan Frame. This Exhibition could not happen without the dedication of many members who did the work to produce the exhibition and the generous contributions of all of our many supporters and the City of Bee Cave, Texas. Our genuine gratitude goes to you all.
